Music. Music is life, soul. Not just a sound, or a word. It's an expression, a feeling. Music heals broken hearts, calms the angry. Music is laughter, sorrow. Music is love, hate. It's something to cope with. Music is what keeps the world sane. Without it, we would be gone, nowhere, lost in space. Music explains how you feel, when you can't. Music is a getaway for the mind, and soul. Music explains your personality in many ways. It opens your eyes to things never seen or heard of before. With music in your mind, you can feel free. Music has no real word to explain it's divinity. Music is music.

I stood on the Hawaiian Beach. My eyes staring into the distance of what seemed like a never-ending blue ocean. In one hand I have my surf board, the other holds nothing. My name is Aspen. I am 14 and in foster care. I have never met my real parents, and don't really plan to. I have lived with the same family for 10 years. I stand out a lot next to them though. Their whole family has blonde hair, blue eyes, and a very light complexion. I, on the other hand have jet black hair, grey eyes, and a very dark complexion. I have always felt like an outsider to them. I love my family, just don't really fit in I guess.  "Aspen! Come inside and eat!"
